Hi everyone,
I’m back in action after the Christmas break and I do have availability to take on extra clients.
I absolutely love my job and have met some amazing people through offering care services! I love listening to stories told by my customers about the war era or hearing about their adventures with their family and friends. I have learnt so much!
I’m about to start year 2 of my Master’s degree and I have been looking forward to this years first module – ‘Living Well with Dementia’, I intend on sharing top tips on how to live well with Dementia with you all as it is something that often isn’t discussed when discussing the condition.
I’m pleased to say that I scored a distinction in my last assignment which was ‘Dying well with Dementia’ – This was a very morbid topic, especially as Dementia is a condition that affects us all, whether that is directly or indirectly. However, despite it being a somewhat depressing topic – it is equally important. I wanted to share with you all, the importance of advance care planning, it is vital that you discuss this topic with your loved ones so that you can plan their future care to ensure that it meets their individuals preferences and wishes, should they be unable to verbally communicate this themselves.
I have created a directory, which lists lots of local services that offer support to those living with Dementia and their families. If you wish for me to send this, please let me know and I will email it to you, it is a good directory to have to hand.
